Its been a while but we're back and back for good! Last weekend I made the trip down from Scotland to visit Jess at uni in Lancaster. We had such a great time, but its always so sad when we have to say goodbye again, best friends should not be separated! Despite being a four hour train ride away I somehow managed to co-ordinate my outfit with Jess when she came to pick me up... some things never change!

Autumn is finally with us, which means layering, burgundy and my favourite day of the year, Halloween (keep your eyes peeled for a spooky post soon)! Seventies is back with a bang this season and it is impossible to walk into a high street shop without feeling like you have been transported back to 1973, but as my mum nostalgically reminisces, who wouldn't want a return to suede, hoops and all things a little bit groooovy baby.

This summer we have made a habit, perhaps the best kind of habit there could be, of going for coffee by the Thames. Although I have the luxury of living by the sea whilst at university (St.Andrew's you stunner) there is something so magical about the London riverside in the midst of the August sun. The ice cream vans, ducklings, picnickers, row boats drifting by and the mad rush to get your tan on... Summertime in London is truly beautiful.

Today it was a beautiful day in London so we spontaneously decided to go for a leisurely stroll along the Richmond river, admiring the beautiful flowers, which unintentionally match our outfits. If you're a regular reader, you'll see that co-ordinating our outfits through what must be telepathy, is rather frequent.

We have a habit of turning up in pretty much identical outfits, be it our best friend telepathy or our mutual love of a good crop n' skirt combo either way this post is a result of one of those habitual days...

Our friends labelled this look the 'Sandy' (a.k.a Grease's uber sass leading lady), a comparison we were more than happy to accept. And as I'm sure Sandy Olsen would agree although white remains the coveted shade of the season, it has to be said that there is nothing quite as effortlessly classic as an all black ensemble.

Hi,

We're Paloma and Jess, a 19 year old best friend blogging duo born and raised in London.

We first began blogging back in 2012 (time flies!) over at cositsthebee'sknees. Creating and writing our first blog was an amazing experience from getting to grips with the trials and tribulations of blogspot editing, meeting people from across the blogosphere to making the shortlist for the Company Blogger awards in 2013... it was the best decision we ever made.

After two and a half years of blogging we reluctantly stopped in September last year when we both went off to our perspective universities (St Andrews and Lancaster), living in different countries (kinda) and with 250 miles of land between us the idea of maintaining a blog felt like a pretty impossible task! However, a year on, not even distance can keep us away and we thought that summer holidays was a great time to start this new venture!

Like a picture postcard,  Duology Blog will provide a glimpse into our everyday lives for those readers who happen to stumble upon it and keep us connected whilst worlds apart
